BCI has access to almost limitless industrial production capacity in places like China and India, where a variety of factories are available for contract use. As a matter of policy, BCI strives to place manufacturing within existing facilities to maximize cost efficiency, and to compliment production by placing BCI management personnel in those facilities for project management, quality control and logistics services.
Occasionally circumstances require that BCI set-up dedicated facilities for customers for one of several reasons:
- To protect sensitive customer Intellectual Property.
- To take on technically complex products that other factories cannot make at scale.
- To take on products and/or projects that are logistically complex, requiring intricate order fulfillment and project management.
To date, BCI has established four dedicated facilities to manufacture specific product lines for our customers.
BCI Ningbo (Established for a Mining Customer)
Established in 2008, BCI Ningbo was created to make pallet cars for Iron Ore Induration machines. The facility bought in castings from neighboring steel foundries and undertook complex machining and assembly.
BCI Mechanical Fabrications SDN BHD (Established for a Mining Customer)
Established in 2010, this Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)-based fabrication yard was established to make complex mechanical fabrications and weldments for Iron Ore Induration machines and Rotary Car Dumpers.
BCI Baojia New Energy Company Ltd (Established for a Solar Customer)
Established in 2011, this Suzhou (China)-based facility took on the dedicated production of racking and tracking systems for utility-scale solar projects. These projects are large in output volume with differing bills of material for hundreds of different projects around the world.
BCI Simartec Mexico (Established for Multiple Customers)
Established in 2012, this San Luis Potosi (Mexico)-based facility was created to take on mechanical fabrication and weldments of mining and utility water-related projects.
