Matt Carroll is a mechanical engineer (BSE, University of Pittsburgh) and MBA (Katz Graduate School of Business) with over twenty years of experience in the mining, construction, railroad, and materials handling industries. Matt has held a variety of engineering, manufacturing and project management positions including a one-year assignment in China to start a joint venture engineering company. He is experienced at adapting western designs for manufacturing in Asia and is conversant in Mandarin Chinese. Before starting BCI Engineering, Matt was VP-Engineering at Mosebach Manufacturing Company in Pittsburgh, PA.
Tim Brantingham

Tim Brantingham is a lifelong resident of Greater China, with an MBA from Oxford University, and an MA (University of Hong Kong) and BA (William & Mary) in Asia-related studies. Tim has worked with Asian manufacturing and industrial supply chains for over 20 years, and is a fluent Mandarin speaker whose career has been focused on bridging East and West. Tim has worked with Silicon Valley start-ups, Chinese state-owned conglomerates, and pan-Asian family-owned businesses in the renewable energy, mining, power, oil & gas and construction industries. Recently, Tim has focused on industrial VC investment and green-tech acceleration.

Hurst Bartley is an Industrial Engineer (BS, Fairmont State University) and spent his childhood in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Myanmar. Before joining the BCI team, Hurst worked in the technical glass manufacturing industry as a production manager and then progressively as Director of Engineering, General Manager and VP of Operations for a manufacturer of tempered glass products serving the major appliance industry. He has over 25 years of multi-discipline experience in industrial management and engineering across a variety of disciplines including Plant Management, Operations Management, Process Engineering, Quality Control, Project Management, Machine Design and Plant Maintenance. Hurst is conversant in Spanish.

Bob Hook is a certified public accountant (BS, West Virginia University) and attorney (JD, West Virginia University) with over 25 years of experience in energy, construction, and public accounting. Prior to BCI Bob served as the CFO of dck Worldwide, a multi-national construction company, along with also holding a variety of leadership positions at Westinghouse Electric Company, including Controller of the Global Nuclear Service Business Unit and Director of Tax. Bob also held senior management or partner positions with firms such as KPMG; Holsinger, Stemler, Hook & Associates; and Ernst & Young. In these roles, Bob led financial plan development, financial reporting, and tax planning for operations and projects in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Utilizing collaboration and financial methodology best practice, Bob has worked with teams to demonstrate how higher objectives can, and should be, achieved. In addition to being a CPA, Bob holds the designation of Chartered Global Managerial Accountant. Bob received his BS and JD from West Virginia University.
Jerry Carroll

Jerry Carroll is a trained business professional (BA, Allegheny College) with significant experience servicing corporate customers. He has twelve years’ experience in sales, the bulk of which were in industrial contract manufacturing. The primary industries served include Mining and Solar. Jerry has held a variety of positions in the service and manufacturing sectors, including positions as a performance management consultant, QA supervisor, lead trainer, and manager, primarily for Fortune 100 companies. He fosters an environment of innovation and continuous improvement in the delivery of outstanding customer service. Jerry has been with BCI Engineering since 2008.
Michail Perackis

Michail’s long operational management career has involved working with multinationals and SMEs on everything from Lean manufacturing to general management and strategy consulting. He has a Master in Business Engineering (Milan Polytechnic) with a focus on corporate finance. He started as a consultant in operational management and then went on to open his own consulting company, Eticonsult, that worked with over 40 different clients on more than 100 projects from SME’s to MNCs. In 2010, he was appointed Managing Director of O.N.T where he opened their Mexican subsidiary. Since 2008 he has also been a Professor in the Controlling and Management Masters Degree program at the Italian Industrial Association. Michail is a native of Germany but now resides in Italy. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Bergamo Rugby Team as well as a non-profit organization that manages pre-schools and kindergartens.
Audrey Tang

Audrey Tang is a chemical engineer (BSE, Jiangnan University), and former exchange student in industrial engineering at Purdue University. Audrey has over ten years of quality management experience, mostly in Greater China. She started working in the Solar industry in 2008, as a quality and supplier chain manager for a US company, managing most of the Asia-based suppliers. She is experienced in managing project transfers from the US to China, and making sure contract manufacturers understand the requirement from cost, quality, engineering to shipping. Audrey has successfully set up China offices and factories for several US companies.
